pregnant woman talking to doctor about uterusQuestion: At my last doctor’s visit, my doctor said that my uterus is measuring a little on the small side. Does this mean my baby’s not growing right?

Answer: Most parents begin worrying about their babies before they are even born. As is usually the case after birth, there’s rarely anything to worry about. Trying to size up your uterus from the outside isn’t an exact science at any time during your pregnancy. Determining what that size should be isn’t easy either (unless you’re certain about what day you conceived), since the date of your pregnancy may be off by as much as several weeks on either side. Your doctor may be planning to conduct an ultrasound to find out more precisely the size of your uterus and date of your pregnancy. This ultrasound will also see if there are any incompatibilities, which most likely there aren’t.
